You cannot always expect to walk out of a fight without a scratch.  Runescape players are capable of healing the wounds of their adventurers with a bite to eat after a fight.  The Cooking Skill is a direct reflection of this mechanic as it allows players to create different Foods that will heal different amounts of Health, necessary for survival in any dangerous situation.

Getting the YummiesEdit

If your Health is running low, you might want to consider grabbing a bite to eat.  Raw or uncooked food won't heal you in any way, so having the Cooking level required to cook it is always handy.  If you do not have the Cooking level required, you can always buy food from other players or train it up until you can cook it.  The Fishing Skill is another excellent way to get a few tasty food items.  Fishing allows you to gather raw fish, which can then be cooked on a fire or on a range.  The Farming Skill is another resource skill that allows you to plant seeds, harvest crops and cook those crops too.
